This series of sensors are encapsulated in a glass-ceramic matrix characterized by a positive temperature coefficient in accordance with DIN EN 60751. The use of platinum as the resistive material ensures the long-term stability of the product, and the leads are platinum-nickel wire, silver-nickel, pure platinum or silver-palladium. Platinum-nickel wire is used in various grades for conventional products; silver-nickel is suitable for low to medium temperature products; pure platinum is commonly used for soldering applications requiring higher application temperatures; and silver-palladium is commonly used for lower temperature soldering applications.
